GENERAL FEATURES:

PU clear glossy finish formulated with special alkyd resins, endowed with high gloss, extraordinary hardness, high coverage and resistance even for outdoors.

 

PHYSICAL – CHEMICAL FEATURES:

VISCOSITY (FORD C. 4 at 20°C)         : 60 ”

DENSITY (at 20°C)                             : 0.99

SOLID CONTENTS                             :  53 %

POT-LIFE (at 20°C)                             :  6-7 hs by using EM C.40 at 100 %

 

APPLICATION:

Spray by traditional spray-guns or airless pumps on surfaces previously covered by PU or PE basecoats, after sanding by fine grain sanding paper (400) or more coats on raw wood leaving 6-8 hs between and slightly sanding between the coats. It can be applied on basecoats in a single coat as much as 180 cc/smt or applying two coats at 60 / 90 ‘between. It is very important to respect scheduled time to avoid surface defects. To obtain a good result we advise to reduce at 20 – 30 % by EM 754. In hot climate it is necessary to reduce by EM 722 FLOW-LEVELLING THINNER, adding hardener at 80 – 85 %. Average yield is 6-8 smt/lt.

 

DRYING

At room temperature (about 20°C) using EM C.40:

 

DUST FREE                                          :  20′

TOUCH FREE                                       :  3 – 4 hs.

DEEP DRY                                           : 15-18 hs.

READY-TO-BURNISH                            :  after 24 hs.

 

EMPLOYMENTS AND WARNINGS:

It is suitable for several employments both for indoors and outdoors. It can be used to finish windows or furniture, by spray or curtain (by using EM C.24).

When applied on windows it is absolutely necessary to prevent any seepage of water by sealing carefully and so preventing defoliation. To obtain a more plastic film while reducing yellowing it is necessary to add EM C 24 non-yellowing Hardener at 100%. Reduction, yield and application techniques are as reported above.
